Delete your account
Last updated 26 October 2026
Translation of the French version, which prevails.
You can delete your Endscreen account at any time, right in the app. It’s immediate and permanent.
In the app
- Open Profile, then the Settings icon at the top.
- Under My data, choose Delete my account.
- Type your username to confirm, then Delete for good.
If you want a copy of your reviews and your library, do Export my data first, just above.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app but your account is linked to an email, write to us from that address at hello@endscreen.fr with your username. We check that the address matches the account, delete it and confirm, within one month at the latest.
An account that was never linked to an email only exists on the phone that created it: we can’t check it’s yours, so we can’t delete it for you. If it has no games and no reviews, it’s erased anyway after 6 months without use.
What gets deleted
Everything about you: your account and username (which becomes free again), your email address, your profile and photo, your library and status history, your reviews and the Helpful votes they got, the ones you gave, your follows both ways, your notifications, your push tokens, your sessions, and the reports you made or that concern you. Game verdicts are recomputed without your reviews.
What stays, and for how long
- The moderation log keeps a record of the decisions taken, with no personal data.
- If your account was suspended, a hashed fingerprint of your email address (or of your Apple or Google id) is kept for 1 year, only to stop the account being recreated with it. The address can’t be recovered from that fingerprint.
- Server logs (account id and masked IP address) erase themselves after 12 months.
- Database backups are overwritten as they go; your data is gone from them 30 days after the deletion at the latest.
