Terms of use
Last updated 26 October 2026
Translation of the French version, which prevails.
These terms of use cover the Endscreen app and the endscreen.fr website, published by Amine Benaziza (“we”). By creating an account, you accept them. They go with the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Endscreen lets you track the video games you play, give your opinion as a verdict (fun, how it runs, price, who it’s for) and read other players’ verdicts. Browsing game pages, reviews and profiles needs no account.
Endscreen is free. If paid features ever come, they’ll have their own terms and will never be forced on you without your agreement.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or older.
- A username is enough to create an account. It must follow the rules in section 3; some usernames are reserved.
- Until your account is linked to an email (or to Apple or Google), it only exists on your phone. If you lose the phone or the app’s data, you lose the account, and we can’t get it back. Linking an email fixes that and makes your reviews count in the verdicts.
- An unlinked account with no games and no reviews that hasn’t been used for 6 months is deleted, and its username becomes free again.
- You’re responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has access to it, write to us.
3. What you post
Your reviews, username, display name, bio and photo are public. You’re responsible for them. They must not contain:
- illegal, hateful, discriminatory, violent or sexual content;
- harassment, threats or insults aimed at a person;
- someone else’s personal data;
- spam, advertising or misleading links;
- impersonation (pretending to be another person, a studio or Endscreen);
- unmarked spoilers (the app has a box for that);
- content that infringes other people’s rights (copyright, trademarks, image).
A review is about the game. Organised campaigns to push a game up or down without having played it (“review bombing”) are not allowed.
4. Your rights over your content
You keep ownership of what you write and the photos you add. You simply give us the right, free of charge, worldwide and for as long as the content is online, to host it, display it and fit it to the app and the site (shortening a preview or resizing a photo, for example). That right ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backup copies, which disappear on their own within a few weeks.
5. Reports and moderation
Anyone can report a review or a profile, with “Report” in the app, or by email to hello@endscreen.fr (see the legal notice for what a report should include). Every report is read by a person, not an algorithm.
If something breaks the law or these rules, depending on how serious it is, we may:
- hide a review;
- mark a review as a spoiler (it stays readable, behind a warning);
- remove a photo, a bio or a display name;
- change a username that breaks the rules;
- suspend an account, for serious or repeated breaches.
When we take one of these steps, we tell you which one and why, by email if your account is linked to one (a suspended account also sees it on its profile). Without an email address, we have no way to reach you. You can challenge a decision within 6 months by writing to hello@endscreen.fr; a person looks at it again and answers you. A suspended account can still export its data and delete itself.
6. Game data
Game information (titles, covers, dates, platforms) comes from IGDB.com. We can’t promise it’s all accurate. If you spot a mistake, “Report incorrect data” in the game page’s menu sends it to us.
7. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep Endscreen working well and all the time, but can’t guarantee it: there may be outages or maintenance breaks. The app changes, and features may change or go away.
If these terms change on something important, we’ll tell you in the app at least 15 days before. If you disagree, you can delete your account before the change applies.
8. Liability
We’re not responsible for content posted by players until we’ve been told it’s illegal; once told, we act quickly. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
9. Closing your account
You can delete your account whenever you want, in Settings, Delete my account, except during maintenance (it doesn’t last long: try again a little later). Everything goes (details here). On our side, we may suspend an account under section 5.
10. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If something goes wrong, write to us first and we’ll look for a solution. Failing that, the dispute goes to the competent courts; as a consumer, you can also go to the courts where you live.
